The People from the lango sub region no longer have to travel to Kampala to have their land registered, this is all thanks to the new land zonal office that was commissioned on the 2nd February.2016 by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni under the ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban development.
This office is the 7th zonal land office to be commissioned by the ministry and will cater for 8 districts in the lango sub region which include Oyam, Apac, Kole, Dokolo, Alebtong, Amolatar, Otuke and Lira.
This regional office will perform land registration, surveying, valuation, physical planning and a lot more. It was the 7th land office to be opened by the ministry of lands after Kampala, Mukono, Jinja, Wakiso, Masaka and Mbarara.
